Key Resources
Technical details
There are a variety of technical options for contributing to DigitalNZ content discovery tools (PDF). From time to time we also run special projects that you can contribute content to, such as the Memory Maker remix project.
Harvesting options
Here are the different ways you can currently contribute data about content to DigitalNZ discovery services:
- Send us a list of links for the content (usually only used if it isn't being updated).
- Create an XML sitemap that points to the content. We'll extract what we can from the pages.
- Provide an RSS feed that we can monitor for content.
- Provide an OAI-PMH feed that we can monitor for content.
- Provide an XML file of information about your content.
- Make information available to us through an API.
- Load your content into a content hosting service such as the Shared Repository or DigitalNZ Kete.
- Partner with one of the collaborative initiatives we work with to harvest content.
