The quote in this Canadian First World War poster is from the famous poem 'In Flanders Fields' by Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD (1872-1918) of the Canadian Army. All Allied forces in World War One made this poem their own. First published in 1915, the poem is recited on Remembrance Day in Canada.
