Description

Shows the ship "Terra Nova" trapped in an icefloe. One of the crew attends tethered huskie dogs in the snow in the foreground, and there is an iceberg behind. Gaumont first released the film "With Captain Scott to the South Pole" in 1912. The "second series" must also have been issued in the same year, because an accompanying leaflet advertising the second series (Eph-B-ANTARCTICA-1912) indicates that the fate of Scott and his men was unknown at the time.
