No 199, an H class steam locomotive, 0-4-2T type, a Fell engine for use on the Rimutaka Incline. Photograph taken at the Petone Railway Workshops by Albert Percy Godber. H class NZR 199, was built at Avonside Railway Workshops in 1875, went into service on the Rimutaka Incline in January 1877, and was written off and preserved in March 1956.
