- Description
A tracing of the West Coast, North Island from Rangikahu to Te Maika, showing Whaingaroa, Aotea and Kawhia Harbours. It also shows settlements including mission stations and roads. Raglan was only called that from 1858, and given that the mission station is still there and no hint of blockhouses associated with the 1860s war, nor a road to Hamilton/Kirikiriroa, then it is presumably mid-late 1850s to very early 1860s. Also in Kawhia Harbour Mr Charleton is noted – he was there 1846-1866.
