Description

Elevated view of Rangihoua Bay, Bay of Islands, from the Rangihoua Pā site. The location of the first missionary station in New Zealand, where Samuel Marsden delivered New Zealand's first sermon on Christmas Day in 1814. The Marsden Cross was erected here in 1907. The picket fence enclosing the grave of John King is visible on the left.
