May 1994 saw the formation of Upper Hutt's largest legal partnership. The three partners (from left) were Brendan McDonnell, Phyllis Strachan and Chris O'Connor who had formed McDonnell Strachan O'Connor and operated from new offices in Astral Towers, handy to the District Court. Printed in colour in the ‘Leader’ on May 30, 1994. The building was renamed CBD Towers in 2004; refurbishment began in August and was completed late in 2005.
