Caption: Women in Business: Owning her own hair salon is a wish come true for Kim Svenson of Peaches Hair Design in the Southend of Main Street. (Relocated to Centre Walk in 1997.). Kim took over the hair salon one and a half years ago from her mother Jackie, who now lives in Waikanae. Printed in greyscale in the ‘Leader’ on September 12, 1994; one of eight pictures in a 'Women in Business' feature. Peaches had opened on June 11, 1984. "Southend" is Main Street's western end.
