Description

James Elwyn Mair Davis was born in Wellington 29 June 1865 to James and Jessie Mair. He married Harriet Nelson 24 June 1896 in Palmerston North, and they had 7 children. From c1897 they were farming in the Tiritea /Fitzherbert area, before moving into Palmerston North c1910. James built a house at 171 Albert Street in 1924. He died 16 June 1949 and Harriet died 19 September 1958.
