For 22 weeks in 1996, arts magazine show For Art's Sake screened on TV One for two hours on Sunday mornings. Featured were a range of artists including choreographers Michael Parmenter, Douglas Wright and Mary Jane O'Reilly, playwright Hone Kouka, sculptor Michael Parekowhai, photographer Ans Westra, painter Graham Sydney, and animator Len Lye.
