Description

Seaplane "F" of the New Zealand Flying School parked in shallow water at the edge of the beach at Kohimarima, Auckland. George bolt is in the back cockpit, and three student pilots are variously engaged in the water and on a float. Photograph taken by Anton Berntsen between 1917-1918. This was one of two Boeing seaplanes bought in 1916 by the Walsh Brothers for their New Zealand Flying School, Kohimarama, Auckland.
