Description

This is a saqa dina (water jar) made in 1983 in the fishing village of Nasilai on one of the arms of the Rewa River in Viti levu, Fiji. This is a large round jar with a narrow mouth and a lip decorated with incised geometric motifs. The breast and belly of the jar is decorated with two butterfly motifs and a wide band of triangles.
