Description

Clark McConachy lines up for a shot in August 1951, shortly before he defeated British champion John Barrie to become the world professional billiards champion. McConachy retained the title of world champion until 1968. He had played in world championship matches from 1922, coming runner-up to Joe Davis for the world title in 1932. McConachy was also twice runner-up for the title of world snooker champion, in 1932 and 1952.
