Description

This booklet illustrates the popularity of knitting socks for soldiers on the Western Front. The booklet was compiled by Mrs Jolly of Wellington who ran knitting classes at the Town Hall and published many copies of the booklet to raise funds for wounded soldiers. This copy was owned by a school girl, Ina Preston, who was in Form VI B at Wellington Girls College in 1916.
