Description

One of a set of 64 images from what must have been a mid-1950s film-strip presentation by Lower Hutt City Council on over 110 years of progress. Original description:-. "By 1900, the horse-drawn bus was a much lighter vehicle. The 'tempo' of life had speeded up and slow cumbersome coaches were being replaced overseas by the motor-car. Bicycles too, were making it possible for young people to move about more easily and quickly.". Image has been darkened
