Description

Two trains crossing at Kaitoke railway station; 1901. At the platform is the northbound Wellington-Napier 'Mail', and in the loop is the morning Masterton-Wellington train, headed by a Wb-class locomotive. Image has been darkened. This photograph was taken prior to the southward extension of the loop and associated provision of interlocked signals and signal box in 1902.
