Description

Fa 276 as originally converted from an unknown F-class in 1896. This is the last of four such conversions built at Newmarket Railway Workshops. The first was built in 1892. The New Zealand Railways Steam Locomotives website Fa 0-6-2 register says there were 13 Fa's, but lists 14; then says all 14 were converted to Fb. The website says there were 20 Fb's, including six scratch-built before the conversion programme, but lists only 12 conversions from Fa. 276 was Addington's last conversion of a...
