A vegetation survey was done to observe differences in the vegetation since 1966 in regard to goat eradication and noxious weed control. The goat eradication programme has led to an increase in regeneration so it should be continued. Weed control has successfully reduced Mysore thorn and African olive but purple and yellow guava, Mauritius hemp and shore hibiscus are proving more difficult to control.
