Description: The first Chinese ornamental garden in NZ took shape in Wellington as far back as 1869. Almost two centuries later and after a 20 year battle, the Wellington Chinese Garden Society finally have resource consent and the City Council's blessings to build within the Frank Kitts Park re-development project, but now they face opposition from Waterfront Watch.
