Josephine, Double Fairlie Class E Number 175, on display near Dunedin Railway station (background). Brought to New Zealand in 1872, and used by the Dunedin and Port Chalmers Railway Company until 1876 when it was taken into stock by New Zealand Railways and classified E175. In 1900 she was sold to the Public Works Department and used in the North and South Islands on railway construction sites. Sold to the Otago Iron Rolling Mills for scrap in 1917, but resurrected in 1925 and renovated for d...
