Printed in the Decembr 20, 1983 'Leader, which reported that students had raised $4200 from the chores of a workday. The college had run a work day for third and fourth formers on December 5. 350 of the 450 had done chores at home; the other 100 had been allotted jobs requested by members of the public. Staff had also been involved. Several students had been offered holiday employment. The project would cost $600 000; the work day had raised $4200; the last three months had seen $12 000 raised
