Description

The Australian and New Zealand racehorse enjoying a roll in a special sand heap made to the orders of T. Woodcock, trainer (right). This sand heap at Agua Caliente. Mexico, was one of the training methods criticised by American racehorse authorities. The trainer’s judgment was vindicated by Phar Lap’s wonderful victory in the Agua Caliente Handicap, of £10,000, on March 20.
