Flyer produced by the Peace Committee of the Religious Society of Friends in N.Z., in response to the 1949 referendum, asking New Zealanders to vote against conscription. In 1949, Prime Minister Peter Fraser held a referendum to allow the New Zealand public to decide on the future of Compulsory Military Training (a form of conscription).
