Description

As a slogan the New Zealand Tourist '100% Pure', brand has been an innovative global success and is regarded as one of the most successful national tourism campaigns of all time. However, over the last decade, the '100% Pure' slogan has been increasingly challenged. This cartoon makes a pointed play on the slogan when in reality our air and fresh water quality has significantly deteriorated over the last decade. This is largely due to farming intensification, increased land use, and pollution.
