Araparera hills in background, looking northeast. Historical note: 'Beresford' was a sheep and beef farm of approximately 1000 acres, comprising hill country and reclaimed mudflats about 25 km north of Kaukapakapa in the Rodney District. The original boundaries of the farm block were the Araparera river to the north, the Kaipara Harbour and Kakanui tidal flats to the west and south, and highway 16 to the east.
