Description

This is an artefact associated with the home delivery of cream in bottles, a practice that was phased out at the end of the 20th century. This bottle top cap would have secured the contents of a bottle which would have been delivered to the door by the milkman on his morning milk run, the most common way of acquiring milk and cream for the household for much of the 20th century.
