Description

This is an 'Ideal' brand butter churn, made in Auckland, New Zealand by Henderson & Pollard Ltd. The churn consists of a barrel-shaped body with an external turning handle which rotates four internal wooden paddles. Continuous turning of the handle eventually turned the cream inside the churn into butter.
