Nancy wake - a secret life, a war heroine

Nancy Wake worked as a nurse and a journalist, before joining the French Resistance and the Special Operations Executive (SOE) during World War II. Nicknamed The White Mouse by the Gestapo, her tales of daring adventures have been explored in several books and on screen. She was awarded a range of honours, including the George Medal (1945) and the Companion of the Order of Australia (2004).
