A scenic view of at least twelve buildings close together in a valley. Many of the buildings are made of mud bricks, others are timber, at least one looks to be stone, and many are canvas tents or covered in canvas sacks. These are likely owned by Chinese Gold Miners as the image was taken by Rev Alexander Don on his tour of Central Otago Chinese Gold Miners in 1900-01.
