Description

Malcolm Ross was a New Zealand journalist, mountaineer and writer during the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. Journalism took Malcolm to Samoa in 1899 where he reported on the Civil Wars. Years later at the beginning of the First World War, Malcolm returned to Samoa in 1914 with the New Zealand Expeditionary Forces when New Zealand occupied Samoa.
