Description

For King and Country The poster uses recogniseable imagery to visually represent the common wartime phrase, 'fight for King and Country'. The central images of King George and the red outline map of the United Kingdom replace the words 'king' and 'country'. The poster was created by the British Parliamentary Recruiting Committee to encourage the enlistment of young men into the armed forces.
