Description

This toki (adze) is a toki-honihoni - a small adze used for carving detailed areas of vaka (canoes), such as the floor and lower ends of the sides. It is also used to carve and shape the insides of tuluma (fishing tackle boxes). It has a steel blade lashed to the foot of the handle with sennit (coconut husk fibre) cord.
