- Description
The "Tangye" suction gas engine used to drive the seven stripping machines at "Miranui". Two of these engines were installed in the engine house. The largest produced 120h.p. and the other 115 h.p. These engines gave good service until 1916 when they were replaced with a more powerful triple expansion condensing steam engine.
