Presents the preliminary findings of a broad study aimed at assessing the extent to which ESOL students, in the English section of the AUT School of Languages, value computers in their language courses, or computer assisted language learning (CALL). Examines the extent to which students value their computer lab classes for learning English, how the computer lab compared with the traditional classroom for learning, and which software programmes the students preferred and why.
