Description

Discusses the decision of the Office of Film and Literature Classification in Dec 2003 to ban DVD-ROM/Playstation 2 video game 'Manhunt'. Notes that NZ was the first country where the game was released to ban it and that it is the first video game to be banned in NZ. Outlines the provisions of the Films, Videos, and Publications Classification Act 1993 that relate to computer games. Considers the reasons the Office gave for deeming the game objectionable.
