Shows two Maori wrapped in blue-grey blankets, sitting in a trench, with a spade at the right. Another Maori man is visible under a tunnel/ shelter at right. Sparse palisades are shown on the rampart in the background. According to accompanying notes, the sketch is of wounded Maori including a young warrior.
