Diary was originally owned by Lieutenant Douglas Bryan, later used by Malone. Front of diary includes a soldiers roll, section rolls, roll of specialists, detail of men to be left aboard first disembarkation, and command orders by D Bryan. Rough survey of trenches of Wellington Battalion with diagram sketch. Diary of Malone then continues from MSX-2546 on 2 Aug 1915. Details an accident by an Engineer Sergeant throwing a mortar bomb and was killed. Malone goes on a reconnaissance trip on HM ...
