Description

'The Underzone' cartoon strip. Shows Prime Minister Bainimarama driving a banana whose steering wheel has come adrift. Nearby is a signpost pointing to the 'Commonwealth Highway' in one direction and a 'Dead end' in the other. He is taking the 'Dead End' direction. Refers to the military takeover of Fiji by Commodore Bainimarama and his refusing to take heed of the international community who are urging democratic elections. Reference also to a banana republic
