Shows the Midland Hotel in Wellington with the wreckers ball swinging towards it. At the entrance to the hotel are three people consulting a preservation plan for the building. Standing beside the demolition bulldozer is Michael Fowler, the mayor of Wellington, and another man. They are holding the City Council's plan for a park on the hotel site.
