Mr M A Castle, chair of the South Wellington School Committee, and Mr Jenkinson of the Bank of New Zealand examine a canister which had originally been placed in the foundations of Wellington South School by Prime Minister Seddon in 1904, and has been relocated prior to the demolition of the school.
