Studio portrait of Ngatau Omahuru also known as William Fox. Photographed by William James Harding in 1868 Son of Te Karere and Hinewai Omahuru of the Nga Ruahine Iwi. Became a captive of war in 1868 and was ultimatly adopted by William Fox, New Zealand politician and Prime Minister. (Info from "The Fox Boy"; Peter Walker; Bloomsbury; 2001).
