Description

Plate three is a street map of the area from Dickson Street, now known as Dixon Street, to Grant Road, Orchard Terrace and the railway station. Named streams include Te Aro, Waikoukou, Kumutoto, Tutaenui, Waipiro, Pipitea, Tiakiwai, Whakahikuwai, Pakuao, Te Waipaekaka. Streets are named and the approximate shoreline at the time of mapmaking is shown and an area of reclaimed land. Capes are named Claypoint, Kumutoto and Pipitea. Some topographic features are described. A car shed is marked
