Parents and teachers of Mount Cook School, Wellington, uncover a hangi at the school. Photographed by an Evening Post staff photographer in May 1974. The hangi was the climax of six weeks of Maori studies. Each term the pupils of Mount Cook School spent six weeks studying the culture of one of the school's 14 nationalities.
