Steam locomotive 453, N class, type 2-6-2, built by Baldwin in 1891. Photograph taken after 1908 by Albert Percy Godber. Location unknown. Dated from the fact that the number 453 is on the cab door, and this number was given when New Zealand Railways purchased the Wellington & Manawatu Railway Co. in 1908.
