Four gold miners, one panning in a stream, two carrying rocks and nuggets away on a trestle, a third working a cradle and directing a flow of water back into the stream. One of the men has a pistol at his waist. Dated on the basis of another copy in a private collection of the same print which has a variant Working Men's Educational Union stamp at the base, complete with a date of 1852.
