Part of a line of between 60 and 70 policemen advancing up the hills above Melrose Terrace in a yard by yard concentrated search for the body of Wendy Mayes. Lower Hutt girl Wendy Catherine Mayes went missing in September 1961 after answering an advertisment for a photographer's model. Neither she or her ramains have ever been found.
