War memorial gates, Stratford district, photographed by John Reginald Wall, circa 1926. On Anzac Day 1926, the gates at Victoria Park, erected as a memorial to Stratford soldiers who fell in World War One, were officially opened by Major-General Sir Andrew Russell KCB KCMG. The cost of £1100 was raised by subscription by the Memorial Committee (Information from the Annual report of the Domains Board furnished at the Annual General Meeting in March 1926) Quantity: 1 b&w original negative(s)....
