The bone club (kotiate) carried by Te Kooti, and the tomahawk (patiti) carried by his lieutenant Peka Makarini. Photographed by an Evening Post staff photographer on the 18th of May 1972. These two weapons were part of an exhibition at the Dominion Museum, Wellington, relating to Te Kooti. They were among items which had been consecrated on the evening of the 17th of May 1972 by some of Te Kooti's Ringatu followers. Quantity: 1 b&w original negative(s) Single image on negative strip.
