Brigadier Howard Karl Kippenberger and Captain Allan McPhail examining a captured Italian 90mm AA gun, one of 44 guns belonging to Ariete Division, captured on 4 July 1942. The gun barrel had been blown. Photograph taken by Driver Ross in July 1942. Aresearcher has suggested that the barrel is more likely to have been sabotaged by the retreating Italian crew than by the NZ troops. Quantity: 1 b&w original negative(s).
