Reports on two laboratory experiments undertaken to determine first instar clover root weevil (Sitona lepidus Gyllenhal (Coleoptera: Curculionidae)) larval preferences towards red (Trifolium pratense) and white clover (Trifolium repens) nodules, and between nitrogen fixing and non-nitrogen fixing nodules.
